Sree Chakrapani Temple, Kasaragod

Sree Chakrapani Temple is situated about 5 kms north of Payyanur and 3 kms south of Trikaripur on the Thankayam-Elambachi road in Kasaragod district. Ancient lore suggests that the temple was built by the Sage Parasurama. The presiding deity here is Lord Vishnu. The annual seven-day festival of Sree Chakrapani Temple is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Meenam (mid-March – mid-April). The festival starts on the Chathayam asterism and ends on the Rohini asterism of Meenam.
