Floral Glory

Every year in the months of June and July, the paddy fields at Kizhakkupuram in Kottayam turn into a sea of flowers. The water lily blooms en masse and swamps the paddy fields, stretching endlessly and covering a significant stretch of 215 acres. When the water lilies are in full bloom, it turns the paddy fields pink and makes for a resplendent sight. People arrive from far and wide to witness this once-in-a-year wonder here.
