The video shows visuals of the Kalpathy Ratholsavam at the Vishwanatha Temple Kalpathy, near Palakkad. The shrine believed to be over 700 years old is dedicated to Viswanatha (Lord Siva).

The week-long annual chariot festival is held in November and attracts thousands of devotees who haul the huge, intricately carved temple chariots through the streets. Vedic recitals are held in the temple during the festival.
