Kasu Mala


Kasu Mala is a traditional long necklace of the State of Kerala, India. This necklace comprises a collection of little coins that add to its charm. The word kasu in Malayalam means coin and maala denotes necklace.

Featured in this video is a Kasu Mala, an elegant ornament, which adorns the brides of Kerala during marriage ceremonies. It is a example of the superior craftsmanship of the goldsmiths of Kerala.
