Q.S.T. & R Kayal, Alappuzha

The Rice Bowl of Kerala Kuttanad is known for its breath-taking beauty. Around 100 years ago, a project was initiated, to reclaim land from the backwaters of Kuttanad. And now, this area is swathed in lush paddy fields. This is the Q. S. T. and R Block Kayal, where you get to see where cultivation and habitation occur some ten feet below the sea level.
