Just a two-hour ride away from Kochi, Vazhachal waterfalls is in Thrissur district. Originates from the Chalakudy River, Vazhacahl waterfalls is located around 3 km from another popular waterfall in the state, Athirappally.  Best season to visit this waterfall is from June to October as it’s the time for monsoon in Kerala. Travellers can catch private taxis and buses to Vazhachal from Chalakudy. Entry to the waterfalls closes by 6 p.m. every day.
