One such fete is held at Kadapparambathu Kavu temple near Pallippuram. Here, one may see the Vela festival in all its colour and splendour. Decorated effigies of bulls and horses are carried to the temple premises as part of the pageantry. There will be separate processions from each village surrounding the temple.
