Kadapparambathu Kavu - Vela festival

Palakkad, the green district which borders the state of Tamil Nadu will simply mesmerize you with its entrancing rural festivals. One such fete is held at Kadapparambathu Kavu temple near Pallippuram. Here, one may see the Vela festival in all its colour and splendour. Decorated effigies of bulls and horses are carried to the temple premises as part of the pageantry. There will be separate processions from each village surrounding the temple. This Bhagavathy temple is a prominent centre of worship in Palakkad, set in a bewitching rustic environment.
