Balan Madhavan

Balan Madhavan divides his time between his commercial photography assignments for leading ad agencies and corporate houses of India and his personal passion, nature photography. The man behind almost all the images that brought millions of tourists to Kerala and the award-winning campaigns of Kerala Tourism, he is the most sought-after travel & architectural photographer of South India. Balan Madhavan is the one of the 5 Senior Fellows of the International League of Conservation Photographers (www.ilcp.com) from Asia and one of the two from the whole of India in this elite group of 60 nature photographers of the world in which almost every one is a National Geo graphic contributing photographer. Balan served as a member of the Board of Directors of iLCP. Balan is also an UN award winner in nature photography. A dedicated teacher, Balan Madhavan has conducted hundreds of photography workshops and photo tours for both the aspiring amateur as well as the experienced professional photographer. Balan Madhavan has photographed almost all leading resorts in South India. Balan was one of the 5 naturalists from Kerala who were invited to meet His Royal Highness Prince Charles during his visit to the Western Ghats in 2013. He was responsible for the production of films and photographs for the UNDP’s IHRMLP. He is the visual author for 12 Coffee-Table Books so far and is always ready to jump into the SUV for the next assignment.
