Faizal Khan is a culture writer based in Delhi. Born in Changanacherry, Kerala, to famous Kerala footballer Mohammed Usman and Aisha Beevi, he has been a contributor to the Economic Times Travel for many years, writing on Kerala and its destinations extensively for the national newspaper. He has travelled across the world, contributing travel articles from South Africa's famous Garden Route, the Arctic Circle in Finland, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Brussels in Belgium, Nantes in France, and Venice in Italy. He was part of the first India-ASEAN car rally from Guwahati to Indonesia in an 8000-km journey spanning 23 days, covering eight South-East Asian countries. He has covered the FIFA World Cup in South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014. He also covers international film festivals in Cannes, Toronto, Tokyo, Marrakech, Jeddah, Doha and Cairo besides IFFK, IFFI and Mumbai festival. He contributes regularly to The Financial Express, The Hindustan Times and The Economic Times.
