Dr. Prakash Sontakke

Dr. Prakash Sontakke is an internationally recognized, Grammy-winning slide guitar virtuoso, composer, and educator, making him an excellent choice for workshops and collaborations. With experience in diverse genres like classical, fusion, jazz, and Sufi music, his ability to bridge cultures and classical roots with innovation is evident in his extensive touring and collaborations with artists such as Iain Ballamy and Thomas Stronen. He is also known for his work where he collaborated on the Grammy Award-winning album "Winds of Samsara" and "Divine Tides," where he contributed as a co-composer, vocalist, and guitarist. Independent World Music Awards and Nashville Award: Sontakke holds the distinction of being the only Indian musician to win both the Independent World Music Awards (USA) and the Nashville Award for composers. His composition was chosen over maestro Ilaiyaraaja's entry for the latter award.
