Sumaa Tekur is a Bengaluru-based writer and editor, and the author of three books published by Hay House.

Her debut, The Inner Light: A Beginner’s Guide to Spirituality & Finding Peace, is a primer for beginners on the spiritual path. Her second book, Table for One: A Solo Living Manual for the Curious Indian Woman, blends manifesto and memoir to explore the culture and politics of solo living. Her third, The Monks Who Laughed When the Bumblebee Stung Me (2024), recounts her solo travels to 18 countries.

Her forthcoming book draws lessons from Indian mythology to understand love, loss, and separation in modern relationships.

Sumaa began her career with leading publications such as The Times of India, Deccan Herald, Femina and DNA. She holds a Masters in International Journalism from City St George’s, University of London. She lives in Bengaluru, where she continues her creative and spiritual explorations.
