Ashtamudi Lake

The Ashtamudi Lake in Kollam district is a stunning water body and a biodiversity hotspot that attracts tourists from across the world. The backwater is the venue of the President's Trophy Boat Race, the final snake boat event in Champions Boat League (CBL) calendar. The race offers the highest CBL prize money after the Nehru Trophy.

The race happens on a 1,200-metre track on the lake stretching from Thevally Bridge to the KSRTC Bus Station.
