    Thirumandhamkunnu Temple, located in Angadipuram village in Malappuram district, Kerala, is a revered religious site dedicated to Goddess Durga, specifically worshipped as Bhadrakali. Though the temple is primarily dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, Lord Shiva is also worshipped as the presiding deity here. The temple is renowned for its deep-rooted traditions and its vibrant annual Pooram festival.

    The annual Pooram festival at Thirumandhamkunnu Temple is a spectacular event filled with color, music, and fervor. The festival, which lasts for 11 days, features a grand procession led by a decorated tusker. Devotees, depicting old legends, dance and chant fervently as they make their way to the river. A key highlight of the festival is the arrival of the Vellathiri in the Pooram ground to give audience to the Malayankutty, the headman of the Pana tribal community. This event is marked by fireworks, dances, and widespread celebrations that draw visitors from all over the region.

    The temple's history is rich with tradition, and the poojas conducted here are said to date back to the 16th century. Devotees flock to the temple to pay homage and seek blessings, believing in the power and grace of the deities worshipped here. One of the temple's most significant rituals is the Mangalya Puja, a wedding oblation believed to remove obstacles and ensure matrimonial bliss. This ritual attracts many devotees who come with the hope of seeking blessings for their matrimonial life.
