Kuttichira Jama Palli, a 14th-century mosque in Kozhikode, is among Kerala’s grandest mosques, with space to accommodate nearly 1,000 worshippers. Built extensively in wood, it features a circular structure with intricately carved lotus and geometric motifs on the ceiling, Arabic inscriptions on wooden panels, and a unique movable roof.
