Falafel

Falafel, a Middle Eastern delicacy, is made from ground chickpeas or fava beans mixed with herbs and spices, shaped into patties or balls, and deep-fried. Served inside kuboos or pita bread with salad, pickles, and tahini or hummus, it has become a popular street food snack. 

Elanchi

Elanchi

Elanchi, also known as Elanji, is a soft crepe roll from Kerala’s Malabar region. Made with a thin flour pancake filled with sweetened coconut and sometimes beaten egg, it is gently rolled and steamed or pan-cooked. A popular tea-time snack, Elanchi is especially loved during Ramadan and festive gatherings.

Mehendi

Mehendi

Known as ‘mailanchi’ in Kerala, henna has a very deep cultural and religious significance among Muslims in Kerala. It's often used as an important part of weddings and other such celebrations in the community.
