The Mishkal Mosque in Kuttichira, Kozhikode, is a 650-year-old architectural marvel built by Arab trader Nakhooda Mishkal. Originally five stories tall, it was partially damaged in a Portuguese attack in 1510 but restored by the Zamorin, symbolising communal harmony. Its Kerala-style timber structure, Italian-tiled entrance, carved wooden pillars, and absence of domes and minarets make it unique among Indian mosques.
