Strobilanthes amabilis

Strobilanthes amabilis, a variety of Kurinji flower, with its beautiful large panicles of pink bells, flowering in the sholas on the hillside above Sisspara was first noticed in the Nilgiris in 1883 by Mr. Gamble. This variety has last flowered in the sholas on the Chembra peak in Wayanad in 2014.
