Sree Azhakiyakavu Devi Temple is located on the banks of the river Pamba at Kallisseri near Chengannur. The annual padayani festival, known as Kallisseri Padayani, celebrated for eight days starts from Uthradam asterism to Aswathy asterism in the Malayalam month of Kumbham (Mid February-Mid March). The festival begins with ‘Choottu vaipu’ and concludes with the performance of Bhairavi Kolam and Pooppada. Kaalan Kolam, Sundara Yakshi and Ambara Yakshi are the other kolams performing at Kallisseri.
