Achamthuruthi is a small island that abounds with incredible beliefs and rituals. The serene and exotic village landscape located in the middle of Thejaswini River is an upcoming village tourism destination. Located near Cheruvathur in Kasaragod, the Kottappuram – Achamthuruthi Foot Bridge is the longest foot bridge across a river in the State and is the major attraction here. The Thejaswini River offers enchanting boat cruises to its visitors. While cruising, one would come across sights of backwater life and also vast stretches of coconut groves on either side of the backwaters.
