Bolgatty Palace, Ernakulam
One of the oldest Dutch palaces existing outside Holland, Bolgatty Palace at Bolgatty Island in Ernakulam district was built by the Dutch in 1744, and later taken over by the British. Now the palace is a premium hotel run by the KTDC with a small golf course and special honeymoon cottages. The destination is ideal to enjoy spectacular sunsets, balmy backwaters and luscious seafood.
