Chathurangappara shows a defined ridge line where a dirt access road runs along the top of the hill, connecting wind turbine installations placed at intervals. The road follows the natural curve of the ridge, with visible drop-offs on one side and sloping terrain on the other. Small cleared sections around each turbine base provide space for maintenance and movement along the ridge.

The ridge surface includes a mix of grass cover, exposed rock and compacted soil, with the road forming the main route across the hilltop. The surrounding landscape includes layered hills and forested valleys extending outward, with denser vegetation visible at lower elevations. Meandering mist envelopes the vistas, especially along the valley sections, making for a stunning view.

Located near the Kerala–Tamil Nadu border, Chathurangappara is known for its consistent wind currents and elevated position within the Idukki high ranges. The site can be reached by a short uphill drive, after which visitors can walk or move along the ridge path. It is commonly visited as a viewpoint and for its wind energy installations, with multiple points along the ridge offering views across the surrounding hill terrain.
