Kottappara viewpoint near Vallikode–Kottayam in Pathanamthitta, locally referred to as V-Kottayam, is a hilltop location known for its open terrain and cherished local presence. The summit forms a broad rocky surface with minimal vegetation, allowing movement across different sections of the hill.
The elevated position provides clear views across surrounding hills, vegetation and scattered settlements. The absence of built structures at the top allows uninterrupted sightlines in multiple directions.
