Haritha Biopark, owned by Mr Rajappan is located on the banks of the Periyar River, Perumbavoor in Ernakulam district. It is home to a diverse collection of ornamental chickens, fishes, foreign birds and a variety of plants and trees. Launched in 2015, the bio-park lies near famous tourist places Kodanad Elephant Training Centre and Paniyeli Poru. The artificial forest spread across 1 acre has fruit-bearing trees and plants like giant passion fruit, dragon fruit, mangosteen, pulasan, rambutan, jackfruit, mango and guava trees. Visitors can buy fruits and plants from this bio park. They can also enjoy fishing at Haritha Biopark.
