Our craftsmen are renowned for creating some of the finest handmade fibre products in the entire world. Be it feather, mats, purses, bags, bangles, wall hanging or dress pieces, the skill and designs displayed by products emanating from God’s Own Country  have made them increasing popular over the years. Small hamlets, peppered across the landscape, supply a majority of the demand across the state. These fibres, usually white or flaxen, are obtained from plants like the banana (stem) and Pineapple (leaves) and are regularly sold in major shopping centres and tourism sites, spread out throughout the State. The finish and final visuals are testament to the great leaps made by our artisans.
