Kondotty Pazhayangadi Mosque

Kondotty Pazhayangadi Mosque

The Pazhayangadi Mosque, also known as Kondotty Mosque, is a 500-year-old pilgrim centre near Malappuram, built in memory of Mohammed Shah, revered as Kondotti Thangal. Constructed in Mughal-inspired style with its prominent white dome and intricate detailing, the mosque is both a spiritual beacon and an architectural gem. It is most famous for the Valiya Nercha (Kondotty Nercha), a week-long festival held annually in February or March, which draws thousands of devotees.
