The Food street project at Anangoor aims to create a vibrant and commercially viable nightlife in Kasaragod city that shuts down by 8 pm. The project would focus on improving some of the city's avenues into areas where families can venture out for shopping, dining and entertainment for the entire night. It is designed to combine entertainment, commercial components and tourist accommodation facilities, all under a single umbrella.

Food Street falls on the crossroads of both entertainment and dining. The entertainment and recreational components in Food Street would include Food court, children’s park, open air theatre, festival game zone, water fountain etc. Other facilities like rest rooms, toilet facilities, parking area, police aid post and sewage treatment plants will also be arranged. The available land lies along the 2 sides of NH 66 in Ananganoor and is located at the centre of Kasaragod city, 2 km from the civil station and railway station. The approximate cost for completion of project would be around Rs. 1.28 crore.
