Dry Fish Curry


Dry Fish Curry is among the most popular fish recipes in Kerala. Its strong and rich flavour has made it extremely famous among our visitors as well. Kerala style dry fish curry is unique in the use of spices and the recipe below has been compiled from kitchens across the State. An extremely simple recipe that enlivens every meal, this delectable dish is sure to get you drooling with just its aroma.

Ingredients
Dry fish - 250 g
Onion - 75 g
Green chillies - 2
Ginger garlic paste - 30 g
Coriander powder - 30 g
Chilli powder - 30 g
Turmeric powder - 10 g
Curry leaves - 10 g
Mustard - 10 g
Fenugreek - 10 g
Coconut oil - 50 ml

Method of Preparation
Clean the dry fish and put it in cold water. Take a vessel and add coconut oil, mustard, fenugreek, curry leaves, green chilli slices, onion slices and sauté till it turns brown. Add ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Add cleaned fish, tamarind and cook well. Serve hot.
