Ingredients
Ghee - 3 tbsp
Raisins - 50 gm
Split cashew - 50 gm
Sugar - 1 cup
Milk - 1 litre
Semiya (Broken & Roasted) - 1 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Method of Preparation
Add some ghee in a Kadai and let it melt. Add cashews to the ghee. Fry the cashews till golden brown and keep it aside. Add raisins and fry them on a low flame, keep it aside once done. Add broken semiya (vermicelli) to the same kadai and roast it by keep stirring until it turns golden color. Add milk sweetened with sugar to this. Add butter and keep stirring. When done, add fried cashews and raisins. Semiya payasam is ready. Serve hot.
