Fish Surka Masala

Ingredients
Fish Marinade
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder - 3 tsp
Salt
Seer fish - 500 gm

Green chillies - 3 slit
Ginger juliennes - 2 tsp
Chopped Garlic - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder - 3 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Shallots (sliced) - 150 gm
Salt
Coconut oil - 1 1/2 cups
Coconut Vinegar - 4 tsp + 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves
Water

Method of preparation
Take cleaned and cut pieces of Seer fish and marinate it with a paste made of salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Put it aside for 10 minutes. Take a pan and heat some oil. Add mustard and fenugreek seeds to it and let splutter. Then add chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and saute it well. Add sliced shallots to this mixture and saute it till the shallots turn golden brown in colour. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder. Saute well. Add the coconut vinegar (surka) and salt to taste. Add some water to this and mix the ingredients well. Keep it aside and now deep fry the marinated fish in another pan. take out the fried fish pieces from oil and drain the excess oil. Now add it to the thick gravy in the pan. Sprinkle some more salt and pour some coconut vinegar on it. Your Fish Surka Masala is ready.
