Nongol Fish Curry


Ingredients
Nongol fish - 2
Chilli powder - 3 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
Shallots chopped - 4 tsp
Tomato sliced - 2
Big Onion sliced - 1
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Green chilli paste - 2 tbsp
Tamarind juice - 1 cup
Coconut milk - 2 cups
Curry leaves
Coconut oil - 3 tbsp
Salt

Method of preparation
Heat some oil in a pan and add fenugreek seeds. When the fenugreek becomes dark brown, add chopped shallots and stir well. Add sliced onion and saute well. To this, add sliced tomatoes and curry leaves. Mix it well. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and saute. Now add green chilli paste and mix well. Add salt to taste. When the ingredients are half cooked, add tamarind juice and coconut milk. When the mixture thickens, add fish and cook until done. Nongol fish curry is ready to serve.
