Pazhampori (Banana Fritter)


Crispy, sizzling hot Pazhampori or Banana Fritters are among the most loved evening snacks in Malayali households. Tales of grandparents cooking these for their grandchildren during summer vacations are ripe across the State. The delicious and fresh banana, soaked in a silky crunchy batter, makes for an absolutely amazing and quick snack. The recipe below is sure to be a hit in your own household as well.

Ingredients
Banana - 4
Refined Flour - 100 g
Yellow Colour - 4 drops
Cumin Seed - 1 pinch
Sugar - 100 g
Refined oil - 1.5 litre

Method of Preparation
Peel the ripe bananas and cut it into long pieces. Prepare a batter with flour, sugar, cumin seeds and yellow colour. Dip the slices of banana in the batter and fry it in the refined oil. Serve hot in a dish.
