Chemmeen Moilee


Chemmeen Moilee is best consumed with rice, which absorbs its rich and spicy ingredients perfectly, and helps elevate the experience of consuming this seafood delicacy to another level. Made using fresh chemmeen (prawns) and locally procured ingredients, this is an easy to put together seafood masterpiece that all our visitors absolutely love. The recipe below walks you through the simple steps through which you can reproduce this gem of God’s Own Country in your own home.

Ingredients
Chemmeen / Prawns - 100 gm.
Curry Leaves - 1 sprig
Garlic - 1/4 tsp. chopped
Ginger - 1/4 thin strips – tsp.
Onion - 4 nos.
Turmeric Powder - 1 pinch
Lime Juice - 1/4 tsp.
Coconut Milk - 100 ml
Coconut Oil - 10 ml
Mustard Seeds - 2 gm.

Method of Preparation
Shell the prawns and wash them well. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter add onion, garlic, ginger, curry leaves and sauté for a while. Add prawns, stir, pour coconut milk, and simmer. Add salt, lime juice and serve hot.
