Malayalis' love for soft and flaky Porotta or Parotta is unflinching, and eateries, especially roadside vendors, dishing out the popular dish are a common sight across Kerala. Porotta is prepared by kneading maida/wheat flour, egg (in some areas), oil or ghee and water. It is often served with a meat curry, such as chicken, goat, beef or lamb.
