An excellent choice to adorn your indoors and office rooms are Calathea plants. One of the most popular Calathea varieties, Calathea Medallion comes with glossy silver and emerald green surface with green stalks.  The back of the leaves is in purple shade.

How to take care of Calathea Plants?

Light: Place your Calathea in such a place that receives low to bright indirect light. In fact, direct sunlight will burn the leaves and hence chances to lose its colours.

Watering: Like all other houseplants, Calathea prefers weekly watering using filtered or de-chlorinated water. If you are using chlorinated tap water, collect water in a bottle and leave it overnight to dissipate the chlorine. Being an herbaceous perennial plant, Calathea needs less frequent but deep watering encourages rooting more deeply and thus becomes better able to handle during vacations/holidays.
