Government of Kerala's Special Relief Scheme for Small-scale entrepreneurs and employees of tourism sector to be implemented through Kerala Responsible Tourism Mission

Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala has announced a Revolving Fund scheme in a bid to support the State’s travel and tourism sector, which was badly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the scheme, Department of Tourism, through Kerala Responsible Tourism Mission, will provide interest-free loans to small-scale entrepreneurs and employees in the sector to help them tide over the current crisis.

Highlights

  • A maximum amount of Rs. 10,000 will be disbursed as an interest-free loan without any collaterals.
  • Applications to be submitted online to the Director of Tourism.
  • People employed in the tourism sector as well as registered units under Kerala RT Mission are eligible
  • Loan to be sanctioned on a first-come first-serve basis after scrutiny by a panel of experts.
  • A sum of Rs. 10 crore has been earmarked for the Revolving Fund Scheme, which is valid for five years.
