Mappila Desserts

Among Mappila desserts, kinnathappam is a beloved sweet treat made from rice flour, coconut milk, and sugar, often infused with cardamom and rose water for a delicate aroma and flavor. Meeta pori, is especially popular during special occasions, particularly the Eid festival. It is prepared by frying puffed rice and coating it with a mixture of jaggery and cardamom, resulting in a crunchy and flavorful delicacy. A widely enjoyed snack, pazham pori (banana fritters), is made by deep-frying ripe bananas coated in a batter of rice flour and sugar.
