Malayala Kalagramam

Malayala Kalagramam is situated in New Mahe, about 29 kms from Kannur. It is a renowned art and culture learning centre, and conducts courses in painting, sculpture, music, dance and pottery. The centre aims to nurture the artistic talent of  the younger generations, and familiarize them with art, its trends, application and history for a better utilization of their skills in life.

The centre was set up in 2003 by the A. P. Kunhikannan Trust to preserve the cultural heritage of Malabar. The library, exhibition hall, art gallery, sculpture garden and auditorium have been constructed to facilitate the learning of arts. Visitors are allowed to watch classes with prior permission from the Director.
