Established in 1950, founded by Sri. K. Narayanan Gurukkal, C.V.N Kalari Nadakav has played a remarkable role in preserving and promoting Kalarippayattu, Kerala's traditional martial art. Upholding an unbroken lineage and righteous reputation, the Kalari has inspired and trained numerous athletes, artists, and international visitors over the decades.

The team has showcased Kalarippayattu in countries like the U.K., France, U.S., Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Hong Kong, China, Japan, and the U.A.E, through performances, workshops, theatre productions, and cinema stunt choreography.

C.V.N Kalari Nadakav is having main center in Calicut and sub-centres in India and abroad. The institution continues to receive widespread recognition and awards from both public and private organizations. Dedicated to the propagation of Kalarippayattu and Ayurveda Kalari Marma Therapy, the team also conducts theatre-based action performances and movement workshops, contributing to cultural exchange and global awareness of Kerala's martial heritage.
