Kapparatti Bungalow

Kapparatti Bungalow was the residence of Vengayil Kunhiraman Nayanar, a Malayalam short story writer and essayist. In 1891 CE, he built the Kapparatti House. Later, as he thought that it was not sufficiently spacious, he built the Bungalow. It took 22 years to complete the construction and the writer died before its completion.

This magnificent 120-year-old house is an example of traditional architectural splendour, notable for its abundant use of imported Burma teak wood and designer tiles from London and Italy.
