The stone rises sharply from the slope, framed by tall grass and scattered shrubs, with layered mountain ranges stretching into the distance. The rock formation is locally associated with religious significance and is believed to be the origin of the name Thirunettikkallu, meaning “holy forehead stone.” Its shape and placement between surrounding boulders give it a distinctive presence, standing apart from the surrounding terrain. The narrow path leading up to the rock highlights the rugged nature of the climb and the effort required to reach the summit.

Beyond the rock, the view opens out across dense forest cover and rolling hills that form part of the Western Ghats.
