The Muziris International Research and Convention Centre is designed to promote the interests of researchers, scholars and historians who are keen on studying the cultural heritage and historical importance of the Muziris region.

IHSCK - The Institute for Heritage Studies of Coastal Kerala - a research branch formed to study the culture, history and heritage of coastal Kerala, also functions under the Muziris Research and Convention Centre.
