Varkala

Silence, cliffs and eternal sands - this is a combination that people feel can only be viewed in film sets or medieval depictions of mankind. At Varkala, however, this mystical backdrop is a reality. Varkala Beach is a local favourite because of the natural rock formations here that have amazed visitors for centuries. Along with being the only beach in Southern Kerala where cliffs are found adjacent to the Arabian Sea, its famous "Varkala Formation", in reference to the rocks, was declared by the Geological Survey of India as a geological monument. You are greeted at all times by an exotic beach resort vibe sans the normal hullaballoo of the experience. Gaze into the hearts of the hilly pikes and see the behemoths respond to your scrutiny. These visuals have sent many on a happy trance and we invite our guests to revel in the beauty ofthis natural marvel.
