Meppadi and Vaduvanchal, Wayanad

Meppadi and Vaduvanchal are like natural trailers to what truly epitomizes Wayanad district. Meppadi lies on the magnificent Kozhikode - Ooty road and one is instantly bowled over by the hilly slopes, luscious forests and gentle breeze. People cannot help but stop at this spot to simply soak in its natural boons, while realising that this is just a preview for the myriad treasures that await them further on.

Vaduvanchal is like a symphony, personifying the glory of the Western Ghats. Nature seems to have conspired to overload it with a multitude of vantage points that leave most guests in a trance. Trekkers especially have all their prayers answered at this site, as one is given some of the rarest and most picturesque trails in the world. Where else does one get to choose between paths that either lead to Meenmutty Falls or Chembra Peak or Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary? This is divine providence at its best.
