Magical Munnar – In 2days/1night
Enjoy the breathtaking mountain views, magnificent tea gardens and the cool weather of Munnar. Catch the clouds upon your head if you are lucky enough. A 2-day, 1-night package brings you the best Munnar has to offer within the shortest timespan.
Arrival in Cochin (Kochi)–
Arrive in Cochin early morning and freshen up and have a delicious breakfast at Anjali Homestay, ideally situated 20 minutes away from the airport / 10 minutes from Aluva Railway Station and very close to the Aluva-Munnar route.
Day 1 –
Travel to Munnar in a comfortable A/C Cab, enjoying the views of the forest and high range areas, which start about halfway through the journey. During and just after the rainy season, these roads are speckled with multiple beautiful waterfalls and streams visible from the road.
Duration: 5hrs – Leaving from the homestay at 8AM is advisable. This will allow you to beat the traffic and have time to visit the spots on the route.
Visit all beautiful spots on the way to Munnar – Valara Falls, Cheeyappara Falls, Attukal Falls, Pothamedu View Point. Have lunch near Munnar town and then head to your room at the homestay for a short break or head onward to the spice garden, tea museum and Munnar town. Head back to the room after sunset and have an enjoyable stay.
Day 2 –
Have a home-made breakfast and set off to indulge in the beautiful scenery that surrounds Munnar and take home some amazing memories and awe-inspiring photos. Visit Top Station, one of the highest viewpoints in Munnar, Kundala Dam, Echo Point and Mattupetty Dam. Some simple hiking at Top Station and boating at either of the dams can be done.
Return to Munnar town to have lunch and head out for some shopping before you get back to Kochi, having experienced the beauty of the most famous hill station in Kerala. |
