Cherai Beach Resorts approach wellness essentially through Ayurveda-the ancient knowledge of holistic wellness in the world. There are therapies systematically scheduled for protecting the body from overheating during summer. These are done traditionally with buttermilk and other herbs to replenish the skin and to cool the bio rhythm. A medicated rice preparation (porridge) known as karkidaka kanji is also prepared and served to boost the effect of the therapies which improves the immunity and to prevent diseases during karkidaka month.
