There is no particular greeting exclusive to the Malayalees. People of Kerala generally follow the national way of greeting each other, that is ‘namaskaram’. This is done with the palms touching each other and a slightly bend head to show respect to the person standing in front.
In general, people of Kerala also resort to greeting others, especially in offices, by saying ‘good morning / evening’. Sometimes a simple ‘hello’ also serves the purpose.
