What is the coldest temperature in Kerala?

Unlike many regions in north India, the state of Kerala does not have a marked winter period. The state in general experiences cool weather conditions soon after the northeast monsoon in October / November, which lasts till middle of February. During this time the hilly regions of the Western Ghats like Munnar, Wayanad, Nelliyampathy, etc. experience considerable drop in temperature, sometimes dipping to freezing conditions. Munnar in recent years recorded -1 degree Celsius. In other places in Kerala, the temperature during this period ranges between 27 and 30 degree Celsius.
