Situated by the bank of a tributary of the Meenachil River in Kerala, the house is a little recessed from the main road making it an idyllic getaway.

My wife and I along with grand-daughter Zaara had the unique opportunity to be the first guests in this newly refurbished Brookside Heritage Homestay managed by Sambath and Liz of Kaniamparambil. It is a stunning facility with the tranquility and peace of rural Kumarakom, very close to the shore of the Vembanad Lake. The serenity of this place soothes the soul. The food is typical Kerala cuisine, tickling the palate and filling and the stomach! It was an unforgettable experience and the warm and friendliness of the couple, Sambath and Liz, is really heartwarming. I recommend the Brookside Homestay to everyone. We hope to return here someday
