Sceva's Garden was amazing and completely exceeded our expectations. Great communication, amazing food, and a stunning view from our room, not to mention a super comfy bed and air-conditioning. What we didn't realise beforehand was that Benny actually has a spice farm on his property. He gave us a tour on the second day- cracked open a coconut from the tree and let us drink the water, and later his wife made coconut chutney with the same coconut... same with the Jack Fruit- he showed it to us, we cut it open, and later ate it for dinner. Most of what you eat is straight out of his garden. He sent us home with tea, homemade coffee, and cinnamon from his wife's mothers tree all for free. He also brought us on a jeep trek through the mountains. It was so much more than we expected. His family is also lovely. Definitely highly recommended!!

Great stay at Benny's place! Food was amazing and Benny took us out sightseeing for 2 days which was a great way to see Munnar. The room is an absolute dream; spacious and comfortable with a bit of luxury. It's a little outside of Munnar so better to plan your days and transport in advance, but it was a very peaceful area and lovely space so no problem!

The room was comfortable and clean, with the greatest view of the mountains, delicious breakfast and the hosts are very nice people.

It is no doubt the best home stay we ever stayed in. Not only are the house beautiful and modern, but the family are some of the nicest and most service minded people we have run into on our 4 months of traveling. They helped us arrange a tour to Munnar and helped us with transport to Alleppey. Also their home is very unique - it is located on a mountain side where they have a huge and beautiful garden where they grow their own spices, fruits and vegetables. Mr. Benny gave us a garden tour and told us about the different vegetables. Beside from the most delicious home cooked breakfast and dinner we also got to try fresh mango juice form the garden and fresh picked passion fruits. This is not only a home stay but an experience. We had a fantastic stay, the room was perfect, the bed was really comfy and the bathroom was modern and clean. Benny and his family are so lovely and we enjoyed meeting and getting to know them! Benny was also so helpful in organising transport to and from their homestay. They supplied us with loads of little extras and were greatly accommodating. He was also really helpful in assisting us getting around the area and recommending what to do which we really appreciated. All in all was a fantastic stay, with a great family, with beautiful views, in a 5* environment.

A wonderful place to relax. Great welcome from Benny including drink - his English is very god, as is that of his son ben who helps out a lot. Wonderful food at breakfast and dinner time - such tasty home made Keralan fare, thank you! (And also huge amounts of it!) Modern decor, wonderfully clean including bathroom, fantastic views to the hills. It was amazing to watch the fireflies dancing around on our balcony in the evening and the birds flying around in the day time. Helpful contact before arriving via What's App. Great to hear that they are trying to run the business in an eco-friendly manner, producing bio-gas and growing as much of their own food as possible. It was fascinating to be shown around Benny's garden and have him point out the myriad things they grow. Not very close to amenities, but we just used the homestay as a base to relax for a day, but Benny would organise trips for us to Munnar and the tea plantations if we wanted.

A beautiful house with amazing views and hosted by a very friendly family. We enjoyed some excellent home-cooked meals and were given lots of information about the local area, as well as enjoying a guided hike (for a small charge). A wonderful place to stay.

Es war ein wunderschönes Haus und meine Tochter liebte es mit Sceva, der Tochter der Besitzer zu spielen. Es war das beste keralische Essen bisher und der Garten - erklärt vom Besitzer - war traumhaft. Die Lage ist gut und ruhig. Die Familie ist unglaublich freundlich. Wir würden immer wiederkommen, es lohnt sich für diese Unterkunft etwas mehr auszugeben.

Benny und seine Familie waren äusserst zuvorkommend und haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Jeden Tag wurde uns ein sehr leckeres und frisch zubereitetes Früstück / Abendessen vorbereitet. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und vom Balkon hatte man eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Umgebung. Wifi top! Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Für einen Tag führte uns Benny durch die Region und zeigte uns viele wunderschöne und interessante Orte. Ebenfalls gibt es bei der Unterkunft einen schönen Garten, welcher durch Benny bewirtschaftet wird (inkl. Führung). Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder diese Unterkunft buchen!

Nous avons passer la journée entière avec Benny, il nous a fait découvrir sa région: Tea garden, Erakulam, Anakulam (mais malheureusement les éléphants n’étaient pas au rendez-vous.) nous nous sommes même arrêtés chez sa sœur boire un café. Expérience unique!!

Everything. In a strategic place to easily reach munnar and thekkady. The room is huge and clean. Benny George takes wonderfully care of the place and of his guests. He and his family are so nice and welcoming and the food is so good (the best we had in kerala) that you don't wanna leave. Big points for his garden tour, never seen so many species of plants.

Vom Essen mit der Familie über eine Führung durch den üppigen Garten, bei der Benny alles zum selbst angebauten Obst und Gemüse erklärt, bis zu Ausflügen in die Teeplantagen oder die nähere Umgebung: Wir sind selten in einem Homestay so gastfreundlich umsorgt worden und haben uns hier bestens aufgehoben gefühlt. Trotz unserer Ankunft mitten in der Nacht wurden wir herzlich begrüßt und sogar unsere Freunde, die in eine andere Unterkunft gebucht hatten, bekamen einen spicy coffee für ihre Weiterreise. Wie bereits in anderen Reviews erwähnt, sind die Zimmer hell und modern eingerichtet, das Internet ist schnell und funktioniert einwandfrei, man kann kostenlos seine Wäsche waschen und bekommt jederzeit gefiltertes Trinkwasser. Every thing was great and excellent; every thing was more better than my expectation.

Benny our Host did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The Bedrooms are spacious with a balcony and a great view and the Bathroom is in a luxury modern style. The Garden of the Hostfamily is full with lots of fruits and vegetables without using Pestizides so you can eat them directly from the trees and they use them for their meals which makes it fresh and tasty. I definitely recommend to stay here and have some nice days with a nice family, view and relaxing days. Benny can also Organise trips for the teaplantages or hiking or kayaking. Our first home stay in India and we lucked out with this one! This home is located in a beautiful location surrounded by nature and fabulous views. I felt we were in “ real India” . Benny and his family run a high standard establishment and are very welcoming and kind. The room was beautiful with every possible convenience... air con, very good ceiling fan and best of all a lovely balcony looking over the treetops and mountains. The bathroom and bed itself were of a high standard and we slept very well. Lovely fluffy white towels.... best we came across in India. We had breakfast and dinner there on both days and really enjoyed the excellent home cooking. It was a wonderful stay.

Das Zimmer war besser als einige europäische Hotels, tolle durchdachte Ausstattung, wie auf den Fotos. Klares gefiltertes Wasser und heißes Wasser mit wechselnden Kräutern aus dem eigenen Garten werden über den Tag immer kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt. Man kann seine Wäsche kostenfrei in der Waschmaschine waschen. Wifi ist super schnell. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche kann bei Bedarf erhöht werden. Der Gastvater Ben bietet auch geführte Wanderungen in der Umgebung an, was ich nicht genutzt habe. Aber seine Tour durch den eigenen Garten ist super interessant und lecker. Das ganze Essen ist dort sehr lecker und es wird auch immer erklärt, was es ist und wie es zubereitet wird. Das hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Ich habe die Tage dort zum Ausruhen genutzt, der Blick vom Balkon ist wunderschön. Es ist noch nicht so hoch wie Munnar aber auch schon etwas kühler als an der Küste. Nach der ersten Woche unserer Indienreise, die wir im doch eher anstrengenden Norden verbracht haben, war diese Unterkunft genau der richtige Ort, um sich von den „Strapazen“ der ersten Woche zu erholen. Hier darf man eine Gastfreundlichkeit erleben, die ihresgleichen sucht. Benny (der Gastgeber) tut einfach alles, um seinen Gäste den bestmöglichen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Uns hat er beispielsweise zu einem nahegelegenen See gefahren, an dem wir Tretboot fahren konnten. Für den letzten Tag unseres Aufenthalts haben wir eine Trekkingtour in Munnar gebucht. Er hat uns hierfür um 5 Uhr morgens in den nächstgelegenen Ort gefahren, damit wir von dort den Bus nach Munnar (ca. 70 Minuten Fahrzeit) nehmen konnten. Touren inklusive Fahrer kann Benny ebenfalls organisieren. Der Blick vom Balkon ist atemberaubend, die Zimmer sind außergewöhnlich sauber und das von Bennys Frau zubereitete Essen ist der Hammer!!! This a great homestay with a really friendly family set within an amazing landscape. They make you feel at home and Benny is very helpful with suggesting local tours. The breakfast and dinner cooked by Benny's wife was some of the best food I've eaten in India. There are great views from the balcony.

Es war eine unglaubliche Erfahrung. Benny, der Gastgeber ist eine wunderbare Person und hat rund um sein Haus einen tollen BIO-Garten angelegt. Er steht einem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Das Essen inklusive Frühstück war der Hammer und absolut authentisch. Zudem durfte ich seine bezaubernde Familie kennenlernen.

Le séjour chez Benny et sa belle famille était des plus agréable. Ses enfants sont adorables. La chambre est très confortable, jouissant d’une très belle vue. Les repas que nous avons pris, cuisinés avec les légumes du jardin (bio!) restent les meilleurs de notre séjour au Kerala. Une très belle expérience et une jolie rencontre

왠만한 호텔보다 룸 컨디션이 좋다. 홈스테이가 아니라 리조트라고 해도 될 정도임. 방이 정말 널찍하다. 특히 발코니 전망은 정말 환상적임.밤에 누워있음 풀벌레 소리,아침엔 새소리 제대로 힐링이 된다. 이집 주변 자체가 스파이시 가든이고 주인장 베니씨가 투어도 해준다. 고로 건강식품을 살게 아니면 입장료 내는 스파이시 가든에 갈 필요가 없다. 주인장이 굉장히 점잖고 친절한 양반이다. 이집 사모님이 직접 재배한 유기농 재료로 매끼마다 다른 요리를 해준것도 인상적이다. 제대로 유유자적 하면서 쉬고 싶다면 완전 강추!!

I cycled here, a long hard route and needed a rest, I could not have asked for a better place.

Beautiful view and nice, clean amenities in a serene location, a bit far from Munnar, but we didn’t mind! The family is very friendly, with good English, helpful recommendations, and VERY delicious food! We would stay here again!

The room was cleaner than many 3-Star properties. Big rooms well furnished and the best part was the big balcony and the panoramic view from the room & balcony - lush green, lots of birds and hills. The washroom was spacious as well with wardrobe & changing area, wash basin, shower area and bathtub. In addition, anyone who has interest in gardening and organic farming, this is a must visit. Benny, the host & owner, took us around and showed us all the different kinds of vegetables and fruits being produced in his one acre garden. The food prepared by Benny’s wife is delicious & healthy as most of the ingredients used are from their own garden. Kind gesture from the host - I had mentioned on the booking to give a room with nice view as I was touring for my birthday celebration, he arranged for a birthday cake at dinner time. This place is good for solo traveller, couple or family equally - as Benny’s family will make you feel at home.

The view from the balcony and the garden are magical and Benny and his family really are great hosts! The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and clean. The food is homegrown and incredibly tasty. The area is really nice for sightseeing and walking and Benny van assist with arranging both. A lot of effort is put into every aspect of this homestay experience! Great value for money.

Benny & his family were amazing...... the house, home cooked food, the room & the whole house and experience was 100% perfect. Benny sent me directions to the property. Leave the Munnar bus at Alimadi then jump in a tuk tuk which was only 5km drive to the house. He also organised a day trip into the mountains surrounding Munnar. There’s an amazing walk just behind the property into the mountains passing local houses & very friendly local people. Not a tourist in sight. The most lovely home stay with a genuine lovely family. A must stay.

This is so much more than a homestay. It’s like a specialised boutique hotel, located in a beautiful environment, but it manages to retain the essential qualities of a homestay in that it is welcoming, you can feel part of the family, and you can have an authentic experience. The house itself is beautiful, with lots of thoughtful touches, clearly evidencing Benny’s experience in the tourist business. He also has a tour business and is really helpful in organising transport and suggesting interesting places to visit for a really reasonable rate. He has a passion for the garden where they grow all kinds of fruits and vegetables, much of which Shega uses in the meals she provides for breakfast and dinner. Benny and his family were very kind and welcoming. His home was the best accommodation out of my entire India trip. The WiFi has recently been moved upstairs giving all rooms excellent speeds and coverage. Benny goes the extra mile. He organised a private taxi to tour Munnar for a very fair price. Breakfasts were super filling and very tasty. The home has amazing facilities. Every day I was pleasantly surprised with complimentary tea and snacks.

Sceva's home stay was really the first place that felt like home during our trip. Benny – the host was welcoming, shared a lot of interesting information about the area and Kerala helped us with laundry and with suggestions about things to do in the area. He also gave us a fascinating tour of his garden with detailed and very interesting explanations about the plants, fruit and spices they grow and his thoughts of plant mixing and coexistence with some of the local animals and insects in the garden. Sceva – the sweet 5-year-old daughter followed us and gave us flowers, sought our attention and was as sweet as a 5 year old can be. We had breakfast and dinner in the house – meals that Benny’s wife prepared for us and the food was fresh and tasty and unique and again came with interesting bits of information. Benny, Sheeja, Ben and Sceva were the perfect host family. I stayed with them three nights, and due to a strike I ended up spending much of my time on the property. The bedroom is spacious and comfortable, and the views from the balcony are beautiful. They have a swing on the roof which is the perfect place to read a book and drink some chai. When I went on a local walk with their son Ben I mentioned that I loved the dahl that Sheeja had cooked the night before. Before I knew it they had arranged to cook it again for my last night and also invited me into the kitchen so that I could learn. The food in general was amazing - Sheeja is an amazing cook and reason enough to pay a visit. Add to that the verdant surroundings, generous hospitality and excellent local knowledge - this homestay is a must visit!

Unser Gastgeber Benny hat uns Wanderwege im Hinterland gezeigt und Land und Leute näher gebracht.Das war ein Vergnügen abseits der üblichen touristischen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Er ist sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns einen Fahrer für die An- und Abreise organisiert. Das geräumige Zimmer in dem neuen Haus ist sehr komfortabel und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, W-LAN funktionierte gut. Last but not least: Frühstück und Dinner waren köstlich, vielfältig und abwechslungsreich- großes Lob!

Benny and his family took me under their wing. There house is set in the beautiful hills of Munnar, within beautiful grounds with idyllic views. Every aspect of my stay was great, even when I became ill. Well worth a visit!

Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Good location. Close to Munnar Tea Gardens and other interesting sites. Our room was large, with a modern design, with a spacious bathroom with a shower and bath. There is a balcony looking out to the garden and the mountains from the room. Wifi to our room was lightening fast - as we worked in the evening this was very important to us. Most important was the friendship we made with the family - they really made us feel at home and part of the family. The food was amazing - if you are a "foodie", I highly recommend as each meal was unique, fresh and absolutely delicious.

Difficile de décrire tout ce que j’ai aimé car tout était parfait. La (très belle) maison se trouve entourée de montagnes et de verdure: la vue est magnifique et l’endroit est particulièrement calme. Le confort est total, la décoration élégante. Les hôtes sont d’une extrême gentillesse et très disponibles. Je ne peux que vivement vous recommander de prendre les repas sur place; je vous assure, vous ne serez pas déçu-e. Rejoindre Munnar peut sembler un peu compliqué mais Benny a ses contacts qu’il partage généreusement.

Breakfast is very delicious, the host is very warm gentleman, the room is very comfortable and clean, I like the balcony there can see the stars, a quiet and comfortable environment. If you want to experience the pleasure of an evening filled with the beauty of solitude and picture view from the terrace and gaze at stars and fire flies, this is the place to be.

This was my favourite homestay in Kerala. The home Benny's home is spotlessly clean, and you stay with him and his wonderful family who are so welcoming and attentive. There is excellent wiFi, your own tea/coffee/kettle/filter water and naturally flavoured warm drinking water in your room. Benny's wife cooked some of the best food that I had in Kerala. Very comfortable double bed and immaculate en suite bathroom with good hot water supply and toiletries. The property is surrounded by a large spice garden full of fascinating spices that Benny maintains, and overlooks the valley in which the town of Adimaly lies. The room I was in had it's own balcony with a great view, there is also a common balcony and you can sit on the roof where there is a shaded swing and small roof pond. Was our first outing at a homestay. The amazing hospitality and warmth extended by Benny Chettan and his family is beyond words. Throughout our stay there, we felt at home. The presence of their kids, especially their little daughter Sceva, added to the amazing experience. The place is surrounded by lush green vegetation and has a beautiful view of the hill ranges opposite. The hosts also took us around the property showing us the exotic flora around. The family is an embodiment of grace and hospitality. Even though we are from India, we really enjoyed the amazing meals cooked by Sheeja Chechi. If not for anything else, we would still come back for her amazing cooking skills. The place is definitely value for money and makes one want to come back again. The facilities rival those provided at a five star hotel. All in all, it was a pleasure knowing these wonderful people and their lovely home and we would highly recommend the stay!

Rooms are fully equipped and well maintained. Food was authentic South Indian, home cooked, delicious, and was served with love. You must ask for Dosa cooked in Ghee. Balcony view cannot be defined in words (check the photo attached). This family of four will make you feel as if it is your home.
Those who’ve not hired a full time vehicle will find it a bit away from Munnar.

Our best stay in India was here in Sceva’s garden. We even extended our stay for one night more as the view from the balcony is just breathtaking, the hosts are super friendly and helpful, the breakfasts are very tasty and interesting, and the room is spacious, comfortable and perfectly clean. Also, nearby trekking options are available, and you do not need to go all the way to Munnar for a bus to another Kerala city as most of the buses pass through this village.

This place is just wonderful. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and the rooms are very modern and luxurious. The family are amazing hosts, making everything to make you feel at home. Benny also showed me his stunning garden and shared his knowledge about the plants he grows which was very interesting. And the food served is very delicious. All in all a perfect stay!

Venu pour une nuit, j'ai prolongé mon séjours. La famille est charmante, la cuisine est simplement la meilleure de tout mon séjours en Inde. Sceva est vraiment passionné et nous a fait visiter le jardin et emmené en ballade. La vue depuis la maison est splendide.

Nicely located in a lot of greenery with a gorgeous view from the balcony and even from the bed. Very clean and modern; delicious and plenty food. Great value for money! Traveling is safe and barely effected by road repairs after the flooding.

I had a wonderful time at Sceva’s Garden Home. The facilities rival those of a five star hotel and Benny and his family are wonderfully warm and welcoming hosts. They organized a driver for the day and also went above and beyond in helping me catch a bus to my next destination. I was traveling alone for this part of my trip, so I especially appreciated their warmth and support. The home cooked meals were delicious and prepared with fruits and vegetables from their beautiful garden. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and incredible to wake up to. The room and the whole house were spotlessly clean. I would have loved to be able to stay longer!

Benny and his wife are superb hosts. We had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the mountains. But what stands out at this property is the individual attention that the owners give to every little detail; from tours of their superb garden, to explanations of the medicinal qualities of various plants, to the authentic home cooked Kerala recipes....everything is done to make guests really feel at home.

Very clean, very comfortable, really helpful and honesty family, great food, lots of herbs and spices fruits and vegetables in the garden, very eco friendly - no pesticides, solar panels, biogas made from food waste. Perfect location for exploring the countryside. Nice and quiet. Incredible views from the house! Fab WiFi and awesome coffee if you need to work :)

Les chambres sont belles et spacieuses, très propres, très bien équipées. La propriété de Benny est à côté d'Adimaly. Tranquillité et calme garantis ici. Les repas concoctés par l'épouse de Benny et sa mère sont tout simplement succulents et les meilleurs jusqu'à présent de notre périple en famille en Inde. Benny cultive des épices, des fruits et des légumes sur sa propriété. Il le fait visiblement avec passion et nous a fait découvrir son jardin extraordinaire. Lui et sa famille sont absolument adorables et toujours aux petits soins. Séjour magique!

Homely environment and Good food

Paradise for nature lovers. Just a short time away from the noisy and crowded Munnar, an island of beauty and tranquility. House is very comfortable, room facilities are excellent, SUPEREB Kerala food. The surrounding garden is a treasure. Very good Wi-Fi. Benny and family are just charming, very warm and kind, very helpful, gives you a very homely feeling and enough space and privacy. But above all, the divine views from the balconies are just priceless!!

Amazing home stay in adimaly , excellant experiance in scevas garden, we had a wonderful stay with benny's family, excellant hospitality is given by benny and sheeja, and the food there is no words to say awesome, special thanks to sheeja ,we enjoying a delicious food.

Everything was absolutely fantastic. From before our stay, when Benny helped us catch an AC bus from Marari, to afterwards, when he checked we had reached our next destination safely, the owner went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We were really made to feel part of the family, and it was heart-wrenching to leave! The room was superior to a really good hotel, the view from the balcony was spectacular, the food was amazing (and 90% was Home grown from the incredible garden). We were taken on a hike to the top of a mountain for more great views, and saw the sights of Munnar with the aid of a driver that Benny arranged. Benny is really proud of his home and garden, and rightly so. This is so much more than a room, it’s an immersive experience, and we hope to return for a longer stay soon, not only to try more of what the garden has to offer, but also to spend more time with this wonderful family.

We have been stayed for two days in sceva gardens home..homely atmosphere,rooms are clean and all facilities are available..food is awesome..one of the best hotels in kerala..outside view is beautiful from room...we had a very good time over there..if u are going to stay in munnar my recommendation to visitors is sceva garden would be the best choice..

We had a really pleasant stay at Sceva's Garden Home. The room was big, comfortable, very clean and the view from our balcony to the mountains was incredible. This place is very good for nature lovers . Benny and family treated us like their family and they were excellent in hospitality . We loved Mrs.Benny's cooking and that was really awesome to try their regional dishes. We miss Sceva

The house is lovely, the garden is very nice. I had a tour of the garden which I really enjoyed. The food was very good. Friendly people. Great for a few days to relax. They are very accommodating too because I cut my stay from 3 days down to one with very short notice and Benny was kind enough to waive the cancellation fee. It was kind of him to do this. A nice gesture. Would highly recommend

This homestead is just like mountain resort.

The room has fantastic balcony view.Room itself is very spacious and clean.

The host Mr.benny is very nice and gentle.His spice garden tour was very impressive.

You don't have to visit extra spice garden.

And you can taste every meal different South indian cuisine made by hostess.

This meal's ingredients are all organic!!

Unique Homestay with a lovely family
My experience has been Exceptional !!

➕ The room was cleaner than many 3-Star properties. Big rooms well furnished and the best part was the big balcony and the panoramic view from the room & balcony - lush green, lots of birds and hills. The washroom was spacious as well with wardrobe & changing area, wash basin, shower area and bathtub. In addition, anyone who has interest in gardening and organic farming, this is a must visit. Benny, the host & owner, took us around and showed us all the different kinds of vegetables and fruits being produced in his one acre garden. The food prepared by Benny’s wife is delicious & healthy as most of the ingredients used are from their own garden. Kind gesture from the host - I had mentioned on the booking to give a room with nice view as I was touring for my birthday celebration, he arranged for a birthday cake at dinner time. This place is good for solo traveller, couple or family equally.

My husband & I stayed 2 nights over Christmas and wished we could have stayed much longer. Benny and his family are wonderful hosts and pay attention to details, comfort and enjoyment of this garden home overlooking the tranquil green valley!

Our meals were outstanding! Seriously! Our bed was like sleeping on the clouds floating above the tea estates. We loved walking the grounds and learning about local history and tradition. Sceva Gardens is an oasis in the bustle, noise and dust of India. Do your self a favour and plan to stay longer, breathe the clean air, marvel at the colorful birds and the feeling that you can touch the sky!

Great great great stay
It is simple: the view from the balcony is amazing, the rooms are spotless, big and comfortable, the garden is beautiful, the homemade food is delicious and organically homegrown and Benny and his family are lovely hosts.

The best homestay by far!
I struggle to think of this property as a homestay, it feels like a boutique hotel with five star service, thoughtful attention to detail, beautiful rooms and a lovely garden.
In addition, Benny runs a tourist business, and is extremely helpful in arranging transport and giving ideas of places to visit in the surrounding areas.
His wife Shega is an amazing cook, and the breakfasts and dinners are fantastic. A lot of the produce comes from their garden, and is really fresh and served with cleverly harmonised spicing.
This stay was a real highlight of our trip in India, come and stay, it’s just wonderful

Sceva's home stay was really the first place that felt like home during our trip. Benny – the host was welcoming, shared a lot of interesting information about the area and Kerala helped us with laundry and with suggestions about things to do in the area. He also gave us a fascinating tour of his garden with detailed and very interesting explanations about the plants, fruit and spices they grow and his thoughts of plant mixing and coexistence with some of the local animals and insects in the garden. Sceva – the sweet 5-year-old daughter followed us and gave us flowers, sought our attention and was as sweet as a 5 year old can be. We had breakfast and dinner in the house – meals that Benny’s wife prepared for us and the food was fresh and tasty and unique and again came with interesting bits of information. The house is spacious ans beautiful, the room was comfortable with a balcony looking out to a beautiful scenery. Altogether we were happy to be there for 2 nights. It is important to

Heavenly home stay
Mr. Benny helped us arrange a 4 day trip to Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey during the second week of October and of which we have spent two nights staying with his family Sheeja, Sceva and Ben at Sceva's Garden home.

As soon as we reached Sceva's Garden Home and met Mr. Benny and his family we felt as if it was our own family because of the way they welcomed us. The entire home was spotlessly clean. The view from the balcony is simply superb.

They served us various authentic food of Kerala and some fresh fruits from Mr Benny's well maintained garden. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food served by Sheeja. Sceva (Benny’s daughter) is so cute, our kids had a wonderful time with her. Bijju who is our cab driver for the entire trip is a very good guy. We are astonished by his artistic skills.

Thanks to Mr Benny and his family for making our stay unforgettable. I strongly recommend this place in munnar.

A pleasant stay !
Munnar is as breathtaking as it was. You can never have enough of this place. The amazing food and hospitality at Sceva's Garden home was a cherry on the top. Kerala has once again proved to be traveller's Haven.

The other reviews are all correct, beautiful homestay - clean, comfortable, luxurious, incredible views, tasty food, helpful friendly family. Great location, easy to reach by bus or taxi. Enjoyed exploring the spice garden and learning about the different plants. Would definitely recommend!

If you book here you are in for a treat! For us it has been one of the best places we stayed in India, away from the hustle and bustle of Munnar in the countryside. Benny and the family welcome you in like a lost friend and looked after us, suggesting places to visit and organising our onward travels, in a professional but caring way.

The accommodation was spotless with a hot shower and even a bath! We had Ac and / or a fan towels and toiletries. We were also allowed to wash our clothes.

For a nature loving foodies, Sceva’s Garden Home was brilliant! Benny took us for to explore and try herbs, vegetables and fruit in his garden. Then allowing us to learn some recipes in the home kitchen.

The food we had was traditional home cooked and was delicious. We had more food than we could possible eat but we were able to try lots of different traditional foods.

Definitely will be visiting again when we are back in the area.

Sceva's Garden House was an awesome place which is away from Munnar's traffic. We had a very good time staying there with beautiful scenic around the Homestay. They have a very good garden which is neatly maintained by Benny and his family. Food cooked by Mrs. Benny was tasty. I could say the Homestay is no lesser than any 5 star Hotel

We had a lovely stay at Sceva's Homestay. Munnar area in itself is beautiful and we were really happy with our choice of staying in Sceva's Homestay because it was so tranquil. The host family is amazing, you will feel like home. The house is truly beautiful with a view that you will not soon forget. The room is really nice as well, we were able to really relax. Benny helped us with trips and thanks so him we spent a great day around the tea plantations in the spots where it was not touristy at all and the sights were far beyond our expectations. A definite must visit when in Kerala.

Friendly hosts in a stunning spot. The modern rooms are upstairs with balconies and overlook the mountains. A garden surrounds the property in which they have planted all sorts of different trees which attract stunning bird life. Out of the other places we saw nearby this property looked to be of a much higher standard. Benny's wife, Sheeja, cooked brilliant food each evening and there were lots of things to try so everyone would have something that they enjoyed. Benny and his teenage son, ben, spoke brilliant english also.

Me and my wife had a good time with Benny, Sheeja, Sceva and Ben in their lovely home.The entire home was clean, nicely decorated with stunning views from the balcony.
We had a wonderful food made with fresh vegetables free from pesticides right from their organic garden. Thanks to Benny & his family for making our stay so memorable. I would highly recommend this homestay without any hesitation. We will go back again.

it was best few days in 2017 at this place..., homely atmosphere with pleasant warm welcome, the well maintained house, garden, food scenic beauty it was a awesome experience. we all cherish this beautiful memory with Mr. Benny , Mrs. Sheeja , Master Ben & beautiful little Sceva......, we will love to visit again...
