The Munroe Heritage Inn was the perfect place to stay in Munroe Island. The room was spacious, super clean, confortable with a strong fan if needed. Pretty bathroom, modern and again, very clean. The bed was confortable, best night we had in a while. There's a little terrasse to relax next to the room. The family there is super friendly and kind, making wonderful food and the best chai tea
Suresh was always availabe for us, making everything in his power to make us feel at ease. He even organised us a boat tour and helped us booking our train to go up north!

The room is a great value for money, super cheap for the quality!

Hidden gem! You should definetly stay there if you can, you wont regret it!

A perfect place to relax
The house is independent from the other house of the owners, just in front of the river. Really quiet place, no traffic, a perfect place to relax. Suresh and his family were wonderful with us, putting a lot of atention to our necessities. They cooked for us amazing homemade Kerala food with no spicy, wich was a big detail. Possible to have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the house.
The room was big, fresh, the bed really confortable and the bathroom impecable. All was really clean. It's possible to take the boat and explore the backwaters of the island just in front of the guesthouse. We really felt like at home and we can't wait to come back!!

It was our first time in India and we would like to live a real immersion. It was a succeed as the accommodation is amazing! The hosts are very nice. They did all your best to give an excellent experience to their guests (they drive you to the best places of the island, help you at the train station, arrange a canoe time to visit the area etc.)The food is delicious, not so spicy (if requested). The appartment is clean and the air conditioning functioned very well! We recommend a lot this experience. Thanks very deeply for your hospitality.

Two months ago, we booked 2 rooms for 3 days. As the host didn't take Advance money from me, I was hesitant about my booking, but he assured me with his words, 'Don't worry.' He provided 2 separate cottages for us on 7th September 2025. Nice and spacious rooms. Accommodation is located in front of Kallada River, which provides a wonderful and picturesque view of Munroe Island. His wife, Basanta cooked traditional Kerala Breakfast and Dinner for us. We enjoyed very nice and delicious food. He arranged Country Boats for our Backwater tour. Really awesome, thanks to Suresh Babu for his best hospitality. It's an unforgettable memory.
